Fr Nicholas has been at St. Spyridon since September 2017. He was born in Santa Cruz, California, where he lived most of his life. Fr Nicholas' parents converted to Orthodox Christianity in the late 1980's along with hundreds of other Protestant Christians. The Parish Council
The Parish Council is made up of elected stewards of our community. The Parish Council helps to run and maintain the community, with the guidance of the Priest. These are voluntary and elected positions that help broaden one's understanding of all aspects of how an Orthodox Christian parish operates. Being a member of the Parish Council is primarily a position of service; service to the God, service to the Council, and service to the community at large. These leaders of our community dedicate their time to not only discuss items relevant to the growth and administration of our parish, but also to leading by example and being present at worship services and community events. The Parish Council is tasked with assessing the status of our parish and is empowered to enact change in a positive and Christ-centered way. We encourage all parishioners to consider serving on the Parish Council.
