Outreach Ministries

Out of our love for all that our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us, we return that same love to those of our surrounding communities who are in need. The following organizations are our primary outreach opportunities.

Food Pantry

Established by the CEOC. Located at St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Established for emergency food assistance, the Food Pantry has distributed food for 150-200 families a week. The purpose of the Orthodox Food Pantry is to provide the citizens of Worcester with access to a 48 hour emergency food supply to fill a gap until services can be obtained.

Food Bank Hours are: Every Saturday 10:00am-12:00pm

Care Ministry

This Ministry is an opportunity for our faithful and loving parishioners to take part in visiting members of our community who are unable to join us on Sundays. These people living in their homes or care facilities are important members of our parish family and deserve to be loved and cared for the same way as all of us. To this end, we have a regular schedule for our lay volunteers to visit these people, bringing them a Sunday bulletin, antidoro, and companionship. Fr Dimitri and Fr Nicholas will be visiting periodically also, to provide the sacraments.

Please contact Fr. Nicholas Livingston (831.331.3969) or by email ( for more information.

Feeding Ministry

Our Mission: To provide nourishment that feeds one’s physical, spiritual and emotional hunger through healthy fellowship.

The Feeding Ministry, with the help of our parish volunteers, is continuing to serve a luncheon meal for those in need on the second Saturday of every month from 11:30am-1pm in the Cotsidas Cultural Center.

We are currently looking for sponsors for upcoming months. If you would like to volunteer, sponsor a luncheon or make a donation (in honor or in memory of a loved one), please contact:
