Father
Greg was born and raised in
Massachusetts and grew up in
the Lawrence-Andover parish.
He graduated from the University
of Virginia in 1995 with a B.A.
in history. While in college
he played varsity rugby for
4 years and studied for a semester
at Oxford University in England.
After
six years working as an office
manager at a law firm in Charlottesville,
Virginia, Father Greg answered
his calling and was admitted
to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox
School of Theology in Brookline.
While at the seminary, Father
Greg spent a semester as an
exchange student at St. Vladimir
Orthodox School of Theology
in New York and performed his
field assignments at St. Philip
in Nashua and the Hellenic Nursing
Home in Canton.
While
in Nashua he met his future
wife, Eleni Pitsillides, who
is a pharmacist in Manchester,
New Hampshire. They were married
on May 29, 2005, one week after
his graduation from seminary.
Gregory
was ordained a deacon by His
Eminence Metropolitan Methodios
of Boston on June 26 and received
his assignment to our community.
Father Gregory was ordained
into the Holy Priesthood at
St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox
Cathedral on August 7th, 2005.
