Rev. Gregory Christakos, Assistant Pastor

Father Greg was born and raised in Massachusetts and grew up in the Lawrence-Andover parish. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1995 with a B.A. in history. While in college he played varsity rugby for 4 years and studied for a semester at Oxford University in England.

After six years working as an office manager at a law firm in Charlottesville, Virginia, Father Greg answered his calling and was admitted to Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline. While at the seminary, Father Greg spent a semester as an exchange student at St. Vladimir Orthodox School of Theology in New York and performed his field assignments at St. Philip in Nashua and the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton.

While in Nashua he met his future wife, Eleni Pitsillides, who is a pharmacist in Manchester, New Hampshire. They were married on May 29, 2005, one week after his graduation from seminary.

Gregory was ordained a deacon by His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios of Boston on June 26 and received his assignment to our community. Father Gregory was ordained into the Holy Priesthood at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral on August 7th, 2005.
